Chris Solinsky joins Florida’s track and field program

There’s a new face at the helm of the University of Florida’s cross country program. UF finished 2015-16 season with nation’s third largest surplus

The University of Florida athletics program ranked third nationally in 2015-16 with a $20.1 million surplus, a USA Today database release revealed. The Gators athletics program generated $141.million in total revenue, the eight most in the nation, while having expenses of just $121.3 million. Texas A&M (1), Alabama (4) and LSU (7) finished ahead of Florida in total revenue, with the Aggies also having the nation’s largest surplus ($57 million). Tim Tebow promoted to join St. Lucie Mets in AA League

Tim Tebow’s baseball career appears to be far from over. The former Heisman Trophy winner is being promoted from the Columbia Fireflies to the St. Lucie Metss of the Advanced A League, the New York Mets announced. Tebow, 29, hit .222 with the Fireflies, with the three home runs, 23 RBIs and a .311 on-base percentage. The 2017 Professional Basketball Combine, not to be confused with the NBA Combine, kicked off Tuesday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
