Few home dates this month

You don’t have many chances to catch the UF men’s basketball team at the O’Connell Center this month. Actually, just two opportunities. The first is Tuesday against Kansas, 7 p.m. And then, Dec. 29 vs. Savannah State at 3 p.m. The Gators play another non-conference game at home on Jan. 4 vs. Richmond at 3 p.m. before beginning the SEC schedule at the O-Dome on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. vs. South Carolina.

CBS analyst gives Murphy thumbs up

Gators ranked No. 10 in AP preseason poll

Florida, coming off an 11-2 record in coach Will Muschamp’s second season, is ranked No. 10 in The Associated Press preseason Top 25 poll released today. It’s the same spot the coaches ranked the Gators in their poll released earlier this month. UF has been ranked in the preseason AP poll 10 years in a row.
