Former Gators tight end Aaron Hernandez – who Friday was found not guilty of a double-murder in 2012 – died in prison Wednesday morning after being found hanged in his cell, according to the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.

Hernandez, 27, was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
