Few home dates this month

You don’t have many chances to catch the UF men’s basketball team at the O’Connell Center this month. Actually, just two opportunities. The first is Tuesday against Kansas, 7 p.m. And then, Dec. 29 vs. Savannah State at 3 p.m. The Gators play another non-conference game at home on Jan. 4 vs. Richmond at 3 p.m. before beginning the SEC schedule at the O-Dome on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. vs. South Carolina.

UF O-line on a mission

If junior quarterback Jeff Driskel is to have a breakout season at Florida, the offensive line will have to do its part by providing protection. The Gators allowed 39 sacks for a loss of 283 yards last season. Conversely, the UF defense had 30 sacks for minus 197 yards. UF’s offensive linemen know the numbers and have worked to improve during the offseason. “That’s one of the big things we’re working on this summer is the pass protection, for the… Read More »
